Ultragirl is the last daughter of Krypton and only other surviving member of the House of El on Earth 3 next to Kal-El.
History
Ultragirl reveals herself
Ultragirl revealed herself for the first time when Ultraman was about to punch Alexander Luthor II on his space station. She caught his fist, introducing herself in costume as his cousin, Kara. She had been masquerading as Luthor's assistant all along.
Ultragirl took the fight with Ultraman to Metropolis as Luthor evacuated his space station. She threatened to take him down before getting blasted through the Daily Planet by Ultraman's heat vision. She criticized him for abusing his powers, telling him he was an embarrassment to the House of El and he hadn't earned the right to wear the crest. He tried to convince her that they shouldn't fight and to join him. Ultragirl refused and in retaliation, Ultraman slammed her in the ground whilst blasting her with his heat vision.
Alexander Luthor went to intervene but he was easily punched away. Again, Ultraman tried to explain he was trying to save her but she struck him in the jaw. She retorted that she'd rather die than join him.

Killed by Atomica
Owlman arrived on scene with Superwoman and Power Ring. Superwoman lassoed her right hand while Power Ring created a light construct of a chain on her left. She remarked that if Ultraman couldn't beat her, they didn't have a chance either. Ultraman smirked proudly at this, watching her break free.
While speaking to Luthor after breaking free, blood started to drip from her nose. She collapsed to the ground, dead. Atomica had been walking on Ultragirl's brain in microscopic form during her fight with Ultraman. He held his dying cousin in his arms, enraged by the fact that she lost.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Kryptonian Physiology: The Kryptonians of Earth 3 evolved to the point where they could gain great power from the radiation of their planet. The radioactive remains of Krypton give an even greater power to Ultragirl who can absorb and process that radiation inside her own body to gain an immense array of abilities.
- Kryptonite Radiation Absorption: Ultragirl's cellular structure allowed her to absorb, store and metabolize Green Kryptonite to fuel all of his abilities. She can do this by either eating it or inhaling it after turning the mineral to dust.
- Ultrastrength: Ultragirl has superhuman strength.
- Invulnerability: Ultragirl's body was virtually impervious to harm.
- Ultrastamina: Ultragirl's stamina was dependent on the quantity of Green Kryptonite her body's cells absorb, thus the more Green Kryptonite she absorbs the longer she can use her abilities.
- Flight: Ultragirl could defy gravity and fly at incredible speeds.
- Ultraspeed: Ultragirl could fly at incredible speeds.
- Ultrabreath: Ultragirl's lungs could store and blow air with hurricane forces.
- Enhanced Senses
- Heat Vision: Ultragirl's eyes can emit beams of concentrated heat that are hot enough to vaporize minerals and calcinate human flesh.
- X-Ray Vision: Ultragirl can see things behind a solid, opaque object as if it were not there.
- Microscopic Vision: Ultragirl can see extremely small objects and images down to the atomic level. She can also detect whether a person is a clone or from another dimension simply by observing their cell structure and DNA.
- Ultra-Hearing: Ultragirl's senses were augmented to the point that she could hear things.
- Kryptonite Radiation Absorption: Ultragirl's cellular structure allowed her to absorb, store and metabolize Green Kryptonite to fuel all of his abilities. She can do this by either eating it or inhaling it after turning the mineral to dust.
Weaknesses
- Green Kryptonite Depletion: When deprived of Green Kryptonite to empower her, Ultragirl's abilities would slowly begin to fade, thus requiring Ultragirl to recharge.
Notes
- Ultragirl was created by Paul Dini, Tony Bedard, and Keith Giffen, first appearing in Countdown to Final Crisis #16. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Ultragirl first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Crime Syndicate #4 by Andy Schmidt and Kieran McKeown.
