It looks pretty darn good.
I think they're going for a "Well, the world sucks, so I might as well kill it," kinda vibe. They got Beets to be the love interest, which should be good. They have his mother in there, which is really strange.
Maybe it's kinda a "Baby Driver," vibe. (Have you seen that?) The Protagonist is a bad person, but maybe also kinda good?
There's a theory that in "The Dark Knight," Joker was actually a hero. Maybe that plays in a bit? I'll give you a link to that video.

My mom thought I was listening to the Dumbo trailer. So I then showed her the trailer and she got freaked out
I'm mostly in agreement with Faze. There are still some things I'm unsure of, but it definitely looks a lot more promising now that we've seen a trailer.
