Fortunately, my LCS owner allows me to do layaway, and he set it aside for me (knowing my taste in comics) as soon as it came into his posession. I paid $20/wk above my normal pull price for 10 weeks, and today got to take it home.

@Grimm yes. I'm sure it will be a couple hundred dollars(at the very least), but knowing me I'll probably spend a bit more just for a better condition. Maybe get a grade on it as well.

Thanks guys! I think I'll reread it...but in my Aquaman 75 HC instead (that puppy isn't coming out of the dust jacket).

The good news is, I'd think an issue from 1980 wouldn't be QUITE as prohibitively expensive as something from the 50s or 60s. That said, it depends on how popular the character.
