Yes, it’s Ferro Lad who I recently mentioned in a my 5 DC shows list. Quite possibly the bravest legionnaire of them all, and that’s saying something. I’ve seen him do some absolutely reckless, 300 level stuff in fights and on missions, not to mention the time he sacrificed himself and the time he almost did again. I thought he might fall under the radar because he’s not always around enough to be connected to Legion as much as the rest of the team. He dies too quickly as the original, appears late after Zero Hour, and doesn’t have an Earth Prime version at all. His only real longevity was in SW6 and the mid to latter part of PZH, otherwise he’d have been a Don Hall. I guess the narrowing really singled him out.

Also I don’t have gambit guesses. My guesses are all nightcrawlers and psyches, or moonstars if you prefer.

Thanks Jonny. He’s another good character choice. And my guess maybe should have been a Piotr Rasputin rather than a Gambit; considering the resemblance between them. Next time. (There’s an interesting reversal of creators where Ferro-lad was created by ‘Marvel’s’ Jim Shooter; while Colossus was created by ‘DC’s’ Len Wein and Dave Cockrum.)

Of anything; the “Maybe Alien in appearance” is what gave it away, considering that Ferro-lad was essentially ‘the man in the iron mask”.

I’ve seen him without in one issue and even that was just in his head so it was never actually off! It appeared to be slimy and green that oozed through his hands as he covered it.

Ah! Taken while I was gone. Oh well.
