Nice. It did seem that Starman was hinting at their return in JL #25 when he said the side of Justice needed allies from across dimensions and hypertime. Where else you going to find the JSA after Manhattan’s eraser of them?

The little that’s out there on the JSA’s return make it sound like, yes, it’s a long term thing (not just a cameo in Justice League #31) but also; that they are coming from another dimension or hypertime; rather than an simple undo of Manhattan’s actions. The same JL cover that shows the JSA also shows the Anti-Monitor and the World Forger. Can even the multiversal sons of Perpetua undo Manhattan’s dirty deeds? Hypertime.

Wasn’t New 52 legion the original, with a few slight changes and the art changed looks? And what retcon might there be, other than maybe the Superboy stuff which to me doesn’t seem that bad to be taken out. As for all the history though, yeah that may be hard to fit it all in there, and some people who were adults may be aged down. And I do think Kara gets in on some of the action. A few arc tie-ins for her and Jon seem inevitable.

You're correct, Jonny. After Final Crisis: Lo3W and The Lightning Saga, the original, Pre-Zero Hour Legion returned to the role of "main" Legion (replacing the Earth-Prime team) and has remained there since.

But yeah, with all of the changes to the main continuity since Rebirth (especially a lot of the most recent stuff), some not-so-minor retcons will be necessary if Bendis/whatever writer goes with the original Legion.

Yes! Finally! The JSA is my favorite team and I've been heartbroken that they were erased by the New 52. The DC Universe hasn't felt complete to me over the last few years.

I understand why they were written out. World War II keeps getting further away and it's implausible that the JSA would still be around, let alone have kids that are in their twenties or thirties. But in my opinion, DC needs the Golden Age as part of its history. Legacy used to be such a huge theme for them. Looking forward to what Snyder comes up with.

That would change too much. WWII is nothing like the cold war, sure both were big and in both many countries were involved, but comparing them is like comparing a lemon with an orange, both are citrus, but they are nothing alike.

I'd prefer if they use that they're still alive due to some magic, or time travel.
