@AnotherBatmanFan so it's revealed that monitor and anti-monitor have a brother world forger. World forger had a dragon who would destroy universes that were deemed unstable and the Dragon is Barbatos the over arching villain of the event.

I think in the story there are moments talked about in previous stories. Like batman getting sent back in time, baby darkseid, court of owls etc.

Apologies if I'm just talking rubbish I'm still trying to wrap my head around the state of the multiverse after events of flashpoint.

2. Yeah its complicated. Darkseid sent the Hyper Adaptor back in time to hunt Bruce. It then assumed the guise of Barbatos, which is how Dr. Hurt got involved and ended up gaining immortality from it due to the fact that its time travelling. I never fully understood how the court fit in since they werent shown back then, but its prolly something that got retconned in by N52. Either that or they only knew about Barbatos and not Hyper Adapter.

3. Dont try to understand it. A lot doesnt make sense.

Side question, Was Hurt aware of the Court? Was he a member? Afterall, hes lived in Gotham 100+ yrs

1. Yeah I get confused with all the 'crisis titles'. Still cool they acknowledge the history.

2. So when batman got sent back in the past it was a world where there were 3 tribes: bat, owl and wolf (I think). This also sent a ripple effect into the dark multiverse where barbatos picked it up and would use batman as a doorway into the (positive) multiverse. Sometime later the owl strive splits into 2 with the second group worshipping barbatos. Fast forward to the Court of Owls story and the court has infected batman with 1 of 5 metals (electrum) which will allow barbatos to cross into the multiverse.

His army is pretty dope.

Yeah that makes sense, but it was Hawk. (Hawk for Hawkman, Bat for Batman and N52 Hath Seth and Wolf for Vandal Savage) Maybe the Owls were the splinter group u were talking about that worship him?

Final crisis is actually good, in my opinion, it does need some back-reading and some tie-ins, but it's rewarding!

You will absolutely have a lot of questions and doubts after reading it, it's inevitable, but after a while, you might do a re-read, and you will understand a lot more.

Also, yes, what Morrison did to Mary marvel was horrible.
