Was so and I know that already. But I also know it was never specified as a fake, certainly not a fake nightmare manufactured by others. Even as far as dark stories go, it was tasteless to extreme.

Another example, his whole crazy man-baby routine in Bruce Wayne: Murder & Fugitive. Flipping out on everyone and acting like a dick to others, even beating living tar of others and fighting his own family. Sure Nightwing attacked him first, but he just did it in anger and was only after to help him. All Bruce did was start attacking him. Cassie got her butt whooped and he didn't even bother with her. Sure Vesper died okay, but you don't need to go complete crazy-town on everyone for it.

What the-? Year Two definitely happened where Batman teamed-up with a then very much alive Joe Chill to take down the Reaper

But that's fine if you don't like dark Batman stories. No one is making you read them

If anything, read the Batman stuff coming from DC Zoom and DC Ink

@Fatebuoy Year Two happened before Morrison, so yes he could just as easily retcon parts of it later.

My problem isn't dark Batman, but nearly always dark, grim Batman that's just about yet another crime or punching in faces.

1. Naw, Silver Age nearly killed Batman. It was that bad. They were gonna be bankrupt.

2. So ur problem is that u dont like Batman and dark stories all the time? Then stay away from them. Go read Wonder Twins or something that satisifies u

A recent Batman annual had direct ties to Year Two, so it was ret-retconned per say (I thought it was retconned)

I just don't agree with you that Batman is grim and dark all the time, especially in the main titles, which everyone cares about

But we can agree to disagree. If given a chance, I'm sure I'll enjoy an issue or two of Silver Age Batman

Plus! The Brave and the Bold was a great animated series

I didnt say that hes super dark all the time. Thatd be boring. There are tons of heartwarming moments w/ Bruce and a Robin. Just dont let it get over the top like silver age.

My point is, these nice moments already exist.

Now Salazars gonna get mad, but I actually liked year two even if it doesnt fit in continuity. Its cool that its PE canon. Or at least w/out Joe Chill. Reaper is a good villain.
