We mean his character was created in 1944? I know the multiverse changes and even the main continuity changes, but it's just a guessing game. And Mr. Mxy first appeared in that date.

Superman is, what, 82 years old? whether or not the continuity changed, the character of Superman is 82. the character of Mxyzptlk/ Mxyztplk is 76 years old. who's older, and still in current comics?

It's like saying that New Earth WW first appeared in Perez's run... it's correct if we're talking specifically, but in general WW first appeared in All-Star Comics #8, even if it was her Earth-Two version.

When you find out, you'll realize from post-Rebirth books that this character can actually be said to be one long continuity, in a way.

Of course, you could always just impress me and pull out an older character. That works for me too.

If we consider also retconned-to-be characters, then it's Hawkman (as Khufu), because Khufu first appeared in March 1935.

If we consider only original characters, then it's Dr. Occult, first appeared in October 1935.

I'm quite skeptical in considering Khufu the first because he was not intended to be Hawkman. It was a thing that was retconned after.

Noice. it was a couple kids visiting Earth-Two Khufu, who became Hawkman afterwards. i accept Hawkman.
