I did not vote for it but I really like the tv series' "quest for immortality" reason for the experiments, to me, it makes much more sense than "I want to create a super team" and the longevity of the characters makes the story more interesting

How do you know that's actually the case? For all we know Caulder is just saying that and he secretly did it because he did want to create a super team.

The tv show makes them seem like they're not just a team, but a incredibly dysfunctional family
