I don’t see why one will exclude the other. In any case I would prefer a short series. In a series I expect that they would be able to explore the GL lore with more detail. I personally would prefer a big scale world (galaxy) building aspect of a GL corps series than a particular character or story-arc.

The Lantern universe is the biggest in DC so it's hard to do it justice with a movie. Most of comic characters focus on just one planet, Country or just a city. The Lanterns cover Galaxies, this is a franchise that could be just as big or even bigger than Star Wars by itself.

I would love to see a movie in the theaters but a show would give them a chance to expand on many characters. How many people outside the fandom even know about the Star Sapphire Corps, The Red Lanterns or the Indigo Tribe? I loved that Atrocitus, my favorite character, got some exposure in the Injustice game but a Green Lantern show could do so much more.

Green Lantern Corps was cancelled in DCEU. Instead they decided to do a show on HBO Max which is still part of DCEU. And that's why many shows cant use Green Lantern at the moment. I hope we see green lantern in the synder cut though.

I mean they didnt totally cancel the movie. They just paused it. The green lantern corps movie isnt just about hal jordan, it's prolly about all the green lanterns except for alan scott and prolly Kyle rayner. But this wont be like that green lantern movie Ryan Reynolds was in. This will be different.
