I dont like how the villains came before batman.

I enjoyed the dynamic of Harvey Bullock and Jim Gordon in the first season. But then I couldn’t make myself go through season 2. I haven’t seen enough to judge it more objectively without seen it entirely. But subjectively I think that it could have been way better

That show was not as simple as a poll. It started strong, went through a bunch of repetitive shock n awe stuff. Carol Kane was actually a welcome relief from the constant stream of tough guy piss and vinegar.

PeeWee Herman was the Penguin’s dad. Again. And what worked for me was when I started watching the show as “The Origin of the Penguin”. Once I ignored Bruce Wayne and Ra’s al Bashir, and joined team Cobblepot, it got a lot better.

I watched the 1st season and stopped once they started introducing Batman's villains and focusing too much on Bruce. I think the show had potential but they tried to turn it into Batman when it was supposed to be about Gotham Before Batman

I have always kicked myself for never watching any of the episodes, but after reading the comments, I guess I’m glad I didn’t. I figured it was going to be a “Smallville but for Batman”, but had hope because it was on Fox and not on the CW (which turns every show into an MTV teen soap opera it seems like). I heard the Jim Gordon character was great, but when I heard they had Batman villains without Batman, I passed.
