Anyone read Dark Nights: Death Metal #1 yet?! What did you think?

@Fatebuoy i just notice that New Superman was your profile pic. I loved that series but never finished it! I am actually re-reading it right now and searching for the ones I don’t have!
Also Death Metal is connecting Doomsday Clock, Snyder’s run in justice league and obviously the original Metal.
Sorry. New Super-Man with the hyphen
That's important. So says the Spider-Man 😁
It was really— big! I personally enjoyed all of it, but I can see where some people wouldn’t based on preferences. But yeah, it was really cool! I snagged the Mahnke cover too, which was the best imo
@Dr. Swamp Thing I’m just a sucker for A covers. My dad is an old school comic reader and he’s always complaining about why they need a million covers now-a-days. I think they are cool, don’t get me wrong, but I normally get A’s.
I dont trust Snyder enough... and the edgy previews like chainsaw WW drove me away
I usually pick up the main covers too, unless my comic book store has a lot of variant covers on one book
As for variants, I suppose it's for hardcore collectors to catch 'em all
Yes.
It was okay...
I'm having some trouble trying to track the progression of events. I am sure we will learn more information in upcoming Dark Nights: Death Metal issues and probably the Dark Nights: Death Metal Guidebook, set to release on August 18.
How did we get here?!?
Wonder Woman has never been my favorite DC hero. That would fall to Batman. Or more widely, the heroes of Gotham. I enjoyed Dark Nights: Metal. That was actually what launched me into comics. My high school English teacher brought issues to me each Monday and I slowly learned. It was amazing.
I will give this series a chance, but this issue is probably an 8/10.
Havent seen you here in forever Jade!
Yeah, tbh, out all the things good and bsd that Snyder wrote, I have to disagree man. DKM was the worst to me.
Welcome back Jade. It is the first time meeting you. You can call me Malcolm.
