I was wondering, What do You think will happen after Death Metal? Perhaps a New Timeline?

Man, I just read City of Bane Part 2 again [I read it in individual issues first] and I enjoyed the heck out of it. More so the second time because I read the last chapter in the "correct" sequence of events 😁
And Annual #4 that was included is the epitome of all superhero comics. Lot of Batgod moments, Another, but damn they were good
Batman fought a friggin' dragon!
He’s a plot writer, not a character writer, which I imagine is why there is such a divide on Snyder’s books. He mostly focuses on making the stakes higher and higher, Jam packed with action from cover to cover. Now of course, not everyone likes this, and they’d rather see characters they know and love grow and develop. When writing plot, that is hardly the case. I personally enjoy Snyder, he’s really nice in person too, so that’s just my opinion of course.
Yeah I can see your point. Still, almost every comic I read from Snyder added something new to the table, either new concepts to the DC multiverse or new characters and original situations for individual characters like Batman.
And yeah, Metal is packed with action and tries to hard to make the stakes higher and higher, that was one of my problems while reading it. But again, what I liked the most about it and the reason I consider it to be one of the most important events in DC History is because it added new concepts and expanded the multiverse. I personally can't wait to see how Death Metal will develop.
Yeah, I prefer character focus rather than feat or multiverse focus. I mwan the latter is also cool, but not when its the sole focus and the former is sacrificed to do so and also make Batgod worse.
Wait for it.
I personally love Snyder, he's one of my favorite Batman writers.
Yeah, he's primarily a plot writer, but he's a much better character writer than Morrison. I don't see Morrison get the amount of hate Snyder gets.
And its not like Snyder completely ignores characterization either. Death of the Family had some fascinating insights into Batman and Joker's relationship and Superheavy had some very emotional moments when Bruce Wayne has lost his memory and Alfred doesn't want him to become Batman again.
I haven't read either Metal event, but crossover events are generally known for their craziness :p
Yeah I don't like Morrison either lol I don't remember a single comic written by Morrison I liked, maybe just Green Lantern, but I read only 3 issues
I did enjoy Morrison’s run on Justice League. Many people praise his writing in Doom Patrol (but I haven’t read it yet). Morrison is a very particular, kind of an acquired taste IMO. It takes a while to get used to. But if you can see what he intends and take it for what it is, then you can probably get to enjoy it. It’s not for everyone, I agree!
I got a Batman by Grant Morrison Omnibus Vol. 1
When looking at the beginning credits of the book, I found out it was a third printing. I didn't know such a thing could happen on an omnibus! 😅
I was a little upset, but I'm a little happy because I know now that other people love Morrison's work on Batman besides me
Morrison had some bad, but I honestly think he overall had more good with his writing compared to Snyder.
What do you think?
