Batman: Year One, The Knightfall Saga, The Long Halloween, and Batman: Hush are all great jumping on points if you haven't already read those.
@Tupka217 like 1 comic and it was Batman son of the demon
Oh and a robin comic online that is to be continued for me and it had to do with shotgun smith pulling over tim drake as robin at the end
Try The First Volume of the New 52 Batman Run (The Court of Owls), also The Nightwing Rebirth Run is pretty good IMO
@Elaexy are those nightwing comics?
New 52 is Batman and Rebirth is Nightwing (though The Batman Rebirth Run isnt that Bad either)
Ah ok thx
If you’re interested in Tim Drake, you may want to consider buying the reprinted trades for Robin that have been releasing over the last few years. The first one depicts the road Tim took to officially become the new Robin. From there, further trade volumes continue to collect Tim’s most important appearances and his solo titles.

@N8THGR852 ok I’ll check it out and thx
Are you familiar with the concept of reboots?
Anyways, the best place to start is always Year One. The arts a bit shabby, but its a good story. Following that, theres Long Halloween and Dark Victory. From there you can also read Year Two.
Some classics like the debut of Manbat (Batman 400) and Wrath, or Tales of the Demon are pretty good. Hifhly recommend them.
Other obscure comics include Charlatan and Blades.
Death in the Family and A lonley place of dying are super iconic, although the latter kinda aged poorly imo. Last Arkham is also great, and the start of Shadow of the Bat. Theres also Killing Joke. This is much better than the movie adaptation at least lol. But its very dark, so idk if you would like it or not. In a similar vein, theres Cult. Next, theres Knightfall. The underrated Batman Prodigal is kinda similar to post Final Crisis Batman.
Now getting into modern comics. Theres Hush followed by War Games followed by Under the Red Hood. Now War Games crapped on Steph, but its kinda important for Under the Red Hood. Oh and please make sure youve read Death in the family 1st. Morrisons run was also pretty good, only problem being Talia got thrown under the bus this time. Anyways, we get Batman and Son, Resurection of Ra's al Ghul (imo his death isnt very important), Three Ghosts of Gotham, Black Glove, RIP and Batman International.
Now ysee a reboot occured called N52. Thankfully, Batman wasnt heavily impacted like Supes or WW, but a lot was still changed... and that created many holes as to what from before is actually canon. Some events like War Games still happened, or at least their results did, but what actually occured was totally changed.
On the other hand everything Morrison wrote was unaltered. Then Year Two only had one minor plot point changed to fit in. (as confirmed by an annual) However, these following arcs fit in perfectly with old content:
First arc of Batman and Robin vol 2, Nobody, Court of Owls and City of Owls, and finally Zero Year: Dark City. Jump down the timestream a bit and I am Gotham, Bane and Suicide are also decent. Theres also an underrated child labor story in Dark Knight vol 2.
Anyways, these are the stories that dont exactly line up but are still good: Batman Eternal, Batman and Robin Eternal, and Gotham Knights mega arc in Rebirth Detective Comics. But that one does again crap on another character, this time Batwoman.
Now in Final Crisis Batman supposedly dies and is replaced by Dick as we saw in Prodigal. So as part of reading for Dick, id suggest Black Mirror and Batman and Robin vol 1 minus 17-19 and the last 4 issues. Part of this will be tied to RIP and Three Ghosts. Life After Death and Long Shadows were also okay.
Now this stuff will be relevent in Prime Earths Grayson (this stuff was again unaltered), which is one of the best Dick comics ever. Actually, you only need Batman International. And Forever Evil. It has some Batman and Nightwing but its mostly villains based. Still good tho. Anyways, the N52 run is also pretty good in all of its 30 issues.
Now to back up to New Earth again, I havent read much, but the story with Shrike, On Razors Edge apparently and the Nite Wing arc are good.
What do you think?
