Unfortunately I don't have HBO so I haven't watched HBO's Watchmen but from what I've heard, this is very accurate.

I like them both.

The show was good. But it didn’t feel in the same mood of Watchmen to me. I’m glad that you like it more. But to be fair, Doomsday Clock didn’t feel too Watcmeny either.

I’m not a purist or a die hard stubborn Watchmen/Moore fanatic. I like the graphic novel enough and Moore’s fictional narrative. But I disagree with some of his views on things and comics.

I haven’t read the before watchmen one shots.

I like them both too. But Doomsday Clock doesn't come anywhere near the masterpiece of HBO's Watchmen.

And @Isaachoff, I don't have HBO either, but I saw it first on DVD from my local library, and I now own it on Blu-ray, so that's an option. It's very much worth it.

@ScavengerOne The Before Watchmen stuff is a mixed bag, but worth reading as an interesting experiment

I liked Ozymandias, Silk Spectre, and Nite Owl. The rest was kind of meh.
