Question about the JLA/Avengers crossover series

Do I have do read all of the DC comics prior to it to understand the DC parts in it? I'm doing a Marvel readthrough and I just got here, but I haven't read a DC comic in my life. I've seen a good chunk of the movies, including all of the DCEU, and I've seen most of the Arrowverse, so should that suffice for DC knowledge?

I'm pretty sure you can read it without prior knowledge of DC Comics. As long as you are familiar with the characters, that's enough.

You definitely don't need to read "all of DC Comics" to understand that or any other event.

They were meant as novelties, so just knowing the characters’ names is enough.
