Yeah, but sparring is very possible scenario for a fight. I'm sure heroes do that sometimes, they don't have to be enemies to have a fight.

In every versus battle, character and personality is thrown out the window. It's not supposed to make sense from a storytelling perspective, I honestly have no idea where you got that idea. This post asks if Donna and Kori were to throw down purely for the sake of fighting, not for any actual reason, who would win? It's completely hypothetical, you don't have to overthink it.

That's the problem, though: you can't throw character out of the window, it's what they are. I'm not overthinking; you're underthinking.
