Like, sometimes DC will make an iconic character go through rather significant changes, but they hardly ever work out, as fans pressure the company to bring things back to the basics, so to speak. I think it's not that the ideas are bad as much as people have a hard time swallowing the pill of their image of a character shifting so drastically. Superman's time with the electromagnetic/energy powers (Superman Red/Superman Blue) was limited, but I wanted to think less people would be opposed to Lana Lang possessing powers that allude to/resemble that time period. It was a nice way of bringing back that idea without the same level of backlash Superman "purists" wanted. Golly, I wish it would have lasted longer.
