@Edward Nygma - The Riddler hell yeah
Hell yeah, nice.
Old friend gets introduced at the same time as villain, turns out to be villain. Overused trope.
The only mystery in that story is the how, not the who. That's handled fairly well. But crammed into half a page of exposition.
Of course it's an overused trope but that is on purpose. The reader is supposed to suspect him, once he's "murdered" the reader is supposed to think that he was just an obvious red herring, only for the later reveal that it was him, but not just him.
Exposition isn't inherently bad, the dialogue there is excellently written, it fleshes out both characters, and perfectly characterizes the Riddler's twisted nature.
Does anyone notice the major departure of Costume from comics.
Especially Catwoman, the departure of Tim Sale's Purple cat-suit with whisker and Tail and bangles in both hands and big ears.
but I understand that they change the costume so that animation would be easier.
Though It would have been good if they kept the purple suit and removed whisker, tail, bangles, etc.
I liked the New Costume (mixed of Darwyn Cooke and Jolle jones ) but it would have been interesting to see a purple suit for this movie.
I may be in the minority here but I absolutely have a strong distaste for that purple catsuit with the whiskers and tail. I get it‘a an old school comic but to me that has to be the most ridiculous outfit Selena has ever had and I can’t take her seriously while she wears it.
The whiskers just made no sense. They're a liability, like a tail, long dress or even a cape. Little control, easy target. Can you just iamgine a cat-burglar sneaking past laser-triggered alarms and oops, the whiskers touched it.
But it's not my least favorite purple catsuit, that honor goes to Jim Balent's spraypainted on suit. And he also gave her whiskers after TLH. She's had other weird costumes before, like the Silver Age leggings&leotard with the red domino mask, the Golden Age dress, the stich costume Pfeiffer wore that had to be vacuum-sealed before each scene, or sigh, Halle Berry's. The Cooke design is the most practical, and I'm glad that became the norm. Even though some artists turn it from practical to spraypainted on again.
Yeah absolutely no practical benefits with the purple catsuit, and even though you mentioned so many catsuits some which slipped my mind I still cannot get this one outta my head. It’s just the combo of purple with those ridiculous whiskers and tail that even put modern day furries to shame
Agreed the purple sucks
Purple Catsuit is a male fantasy, just like ripped superheroes. I see nothing wrong with it. Then again I'm also known for my love of Vampirella, Lady Death and Red Sonya...
What do you think?
