Zoom vs Reverse Flash (Identifier)

Hello y’all, who could be so kind as to tell me the difference between zoom and reverse flash? In the CW series it’s a no brainer telling one from the other but in the comics they are way too similar to tell one from the other. I tried to do a research prior coming here and I learnt Reverse flash has “Zoom” as a Nick name also which just exacerbates the confusion. So please can anyone more knowledgeable than my self tell me the difference? That is, the most important significant difference that immediately aids you in telling one from the other.

Zoom has lenses on his mask. He's also primarily a Wally West villain.

Simplified: Reverse Flash is a position. Basically, every Flash has a reverse: Rival, Professor Zoom, Zoom, Inertia. Professor Zoom is Eobard Thawne. Zoom is Hunter Zolomon.

When Hunter Zolomon first became Zoom, his costume differed from Professor Zoom in that (1) his mask had eye lenses, (2) his “belt” was angled like Wally’s rather than being more circular like Barry’s/Eobard’s, and (3) the lightning symbol looked like \ instead of like /, as was the case with Barry’s, Wally’s and Eobard’s symbols. Nowadays, Eobard’s symbol is flipped to look like \, just like Zolomon’s, but the other two traits are still visible.

Yeah, its very similar to identifying the differences between Barry and Wallys suits in NE.

Also Thawne was Professor Zoom for a time, especially in N52 when the main Reverse Flash was Daniel West and Barry had two Reverse Flashes I guess.

Eobard was called Professor Zoom before Hunter even debuted.

In Williamsons run (which are Hunters newest appereances) he got a new suit. He called himself the true Flash and had also sort of a Flash suit.
