In order to watch the most recent Suicide Squad movie, do I have to watch the 2016 one? I honestly have no idea if the new movie is a sequel or a do-over like Justice League (Zack Snyder’s)
It's a sort of do-over, though I wouldn't call ZSJL that. But at any rate, don't watch the 2016 one even if it were vital. Because it bad.
