The superhero genre won't be popular forever. Just as westerns, war films, and sci-fi movies before, Comic Book movies will start to run out of ideas and become repetitive if they don't experiment, like Joker, Logan, Deadpool, and now The Suicide Squad are doing.

Until people want the old stuff back.

I'm surprised the supero phase lasted as long as it did. Let's hope the reboot phase is shorter.

Everything getting reboots, revivals and reunions.

I disagree with people placing movies with superheroes, in a (recently made) superhero-genre. IMO the recent movies with superheroes in it are movies that could fall in other genres like sci-fi, drama, comedy or westerns. Logan is a western IMO. Vampires are not a genre. They're characters utilized in different genres. The same way I see superheroes.

Superheroes will never die, we’ve been in the superhero phase for almost 100 years now and we’ve sort of shaped society around it, people will be making movies about them well into when superheroes are no longer fiction

Ironically, we could use some superheroes now, what with the climate crisis.
