If I remember correctly in other cycles and sources is that the whole age up is an editorial mandate by upper management as act of desperation of needing a new Superman to fill diversified line up of 5G stuff while Bendis was directly told to do the deed and Bendis became a scapegoat of the whole thing.

Jon lost every thing that was unique and special taking away the 10 year old innocent and optimistic son of Superman to just a cheap carbon copy of his father with no real personality of his own and doesn't have much organic pulse.

Now the idea of de-aging are not gonna happen after today's news making him beyond saving and using that as an excuse (unless if it does happen in the future if low sales are a indication)

I wish we got to see him grow up instead of jumping straight from boy to...much older boy. That way, him taking up the mantle would feel earned and like it had a sense of progression.

At least 'Generations' it and show a few years each issue, y'know?

Yeah. The age-up might have been a bit better if they aged up Damian too, imo.

Oddly enough, their age difference is the same, I believe. DC decided to flip which one was the older one, though, ha.

I feel the same, I liked Jon Kent when he was this adorable innocent 10 year old kid with super powers and all of a sudden he’s a full blown teenager with everyone discussing about his sexuality and shipping whereas I wish we would have got a progress of him maturing into an adult in front of our eyes. Making him Bisexual unfortunately sealed his fate to come back as the kid Jon we knew and loved in main canon and doing such a move in retrospect would cause a backlash from the lbgt community.

Just wait until people find out he's find out that Superman son is bisexual
