I'm not. Jonathan is a great character and this isn't really bandwagoning when he was 11 for half his time as a character.

As for the novels, if you ask me, most of them are bad. Like, the only ones I feel are consistently good are the DC Icons series.

They're not canon with the mainstream universe, so they're clutching their pearls over nothing. This Superboy book is canon, but it's not like the complainers were avid fans of the character.

I disliked that Bendis aged him then breaking the Damian-Jon duo of Supersons. But like many things in life I ended up accepting it. Him being bisexual is the least of my concerns.

Yeah. His shoehorned insertion in main continuity and endless age skips are way more problematic than him kisising a guy.

I'll admit that I've not read the majority of them, but from the young adult graphic novels I have read I only enjoyed Primer. It probably just depends on taste, but some of them weren't my cup of tea.

As for him being bisexual, I'm not mad. I only get mad when writers force their own ideas into an already existing character with its own fanbase. For example, when I sit down to watch an Indiana Jones movie I don't watch it expecting to be lectured on climate change, as that's not what it's about. I've seen it happen plenty of times with 007 and Dr. Who, but I think this one feels less forced. It really depends on the story and its writer.

When I watch Indiana Jones I expect to be lectured on what belongs in a museum.
