I mean all of them are pretty good
@Bonkidus.Shwonkidus That's debatable. I personally, think only Robin is good, and Deathstroke it's ok, the other two, well...
Of these, Robin wins my vote. I wasn’t expecting much from the series, but as far as I’m concerned it’s been excellent so far. I enjoyed the first issue of Wonder Girl just fine, but the subsequent issues have been more difficult to swallow. The pacing perturbs me a bit. Yara does so much in such a short amount of issues. She gets trained by Olympians and acquires the skills she’ll need as a hero over the course of one issue via montage, for example. It feels as if the plot has become more important than characterization, as if Jones needed to rush Yara’s origin story and try to pack a lot of lore into a limited number of pages. I’ll stick with it for a bit longer but may have to drop it from my pull. I haven’t read Jon Samuel’s limited series yet, although I own some issues. Deathstroke Inc. isn’t all that inspired. It’s serviceable, and I find enjoyable moments. But I’m not excited by it, as much as I had hoped to be at least. Robin is my second-favorite book right now, after Teen Titans Academy. Aquaman: The Becoming is my third favorite of 2021.
Yeah, robin’s definitely the best one.
Robin for me
Deathstroke Inc is kind of disappointing, especially if you compare it to the first few issues of Preists run.
Robin gets my vote, even though it massacred my boy Connor hawke
Isn’t he supposed to doing this against his will?
Hawke revealed he (spoiler alert) voluntarily decided to work with the League of Shadows to help stop the demon the League of Lazarus planned to summon.
@Charles Magic I can't compare to the previous run since I didn't read, but I'm enjoy the Inc. I think mostly because of the art/colors, and I'm only reading because connects with Robin.
I've enjoyed all of these, but I feel like Robin has had the fewest missteps. It's much more confident in what it's trying to do and each issue fully progresses on it without feeling rushed in any way. Especially when compared to Son of Kal-El, which seems to be dealing almost constantly in theoreticals instead of letting Jon fully try to do what he's talking about doing. But it's also fewer issues in, so it's got time.
I feel like it's not fair to compare Deathstroke, Inc. to the others though, because it's so much farther behind. We're only 3 issues in! A decent-sized event for it was just announced the other day, so it's obviously got more work to dig into.
What do you think?
