I think you are absolutely right. Enhanced senses are something that tends to only show the pros and not the cons.
Live action media for Superman tends to acknowledge this briefly when Clark first develops his super hearing as a child, but he just ‘adapts’ to the noise conveniently or ‘learns’ to filter out the extraneous noise. While you would grow accustomed to the noise over time, I’m incredulous that he has the ability to filter to the degree that he can, nor am I satisfied that surprise loud noises wouldn’t at least be jarring. His eardrums are probably invulnerable but sounds would still be distracting or irritating even if they weren’t painful. Not a weakness, no, but surely a hindrance at times. I hate trying to sleep in the city with my normal hearing, perhaps that’s it perfectly apt he has a home away from home called the Fortress of Solitude.
