Honestly, I don't think it'll work. They'd either waste good pitches or come up with half-assed ones along the way.
The fact they're thinking about an Alan Scott solo series after he didn't have it since the 1940s is amazing, but it's Prime Earth Alan so I'm not that excited.
Furthermore, it will never win. I can bet Suicide Squad Dark or Superboy will be the winners.
The fact they're thinking about 3 series based on Golden Age characters may reveal DC is ready to use them again properly, but most of DC fans are just Batman/Superman fans so there's little to zero hope to get a series about them.
It depends where they are doing this vote, if it's on Twitter, Tick Tock or whatever then it's a terrible idea. And like Tupka217 said, "They'd either waste good pitches or come up with half-assed ones along the way"
Yeah, where is this happening?
Instagram.
Yep... terrible idea then, I bet most people that will vote has never bought and never will buy a comic book on their life
People can vote either on Instagram or on DC Universe Infinite, which is at least full of people who actually read comics. I think DC considers both when counting votes.
I found it such a shame that the 15 pitches from last year that lost all got shelved. Many of them were great pitches for deserving characters. But in the end, this will likely boil down to which character is most well-known / has better branding. Suicide Squad Dark is winning its current bracket right now even though it’s a redundant premise (we already had Suicide Squad Black, a supernatural roster of the team, as well as Task Force Z); meanwhile, Justice League Redacted, a concept that both plays on a legacy (Justice League Task Force / Justice League Elite) and feels fresh at once, is losing. It makes me sigh.
What do you think?
