He's home now and is probably going to try and become a real superboy on his world, if they want to bring him back for his help as a hero then yes, by all means bring him back but if they're going to ruin his redemption and make him a villain again then no, just leave him be.

He was given one redemption story and sent back home. Let's leave him alone how he wanted.

Having not read his “redemption” arc, I can’t imagine how he’s able to live as the Superboy of his home universe, considering I believed he ended up traumatizing and causing many there to legitimately fear him since they saw all the murders he committed through the hyper-accurate comics. I have a vague memory of him looming over people he knew from his home universe in a manner that suggested he may have hurt or even killed them, but I can’t swear to it, as memories can be misleading.

Nope, I think he killed his girl friend after the Crisis of Three Legion. It was alluded when he threatened his parents

Maybe after everyone read Death Metal, everyone was like "oh he's alright now."

It could be that the reboots led to reality alterations that caused those people he hurt to be alive and well again. Death Metal in particular brought a number of people back to life, but any of the previous reality-shifting events could have theoretically done such. But, that’s just speculation.
