I think it was alright. It could have been so much better, yes, I admit that. Considering the source material it was adapted from, it should have been much-much better but the casting for hal Jordan, terrible CGI and a cloud for some reason? Lead it to it's inevitable downfall. It's reputation though has only fell since Ryan Reynolds made the deadpool movies.

I thought it was alright too. I didn't think Hal Jordan was portrayed correctly. Less cockiness, and more doubtful of himself (then again I'm like that!)

Regardless, the movie seems to have jumpstarted Reynolds' acting career, and his personal life with him meeting his wife on-set [of the Green Lantern film]

And I love all the references and recurring gags to Reynolds' past as the Green Lantern. They're hilarious!

In all seriousness, I’ve never watched it, but I hear one of the reasons it’s terrible is poor CGI — and that’s not surprising; it was made in 2011.

Go back to early 2000s

I think it gets too much hate. There were a lot of poor choices that went into the movie and it's not the best adaptation, but I still get a lot of enjoyment from watching it. It's not a masterpiece, it's a goofy fun superhero movie.
