Now, what’s the difference between rip-off, archetype, homage and pastiche?

Rip off is a character without it's own character, only made to have it your own Superman with all his powers and abilities without copyright violation. And I'm not agree you can remember any of them, because it's the doom of rip offs - no one remember bleak and tasteless second hand characters.

If that's the definition, none of the characters mentioned are rip-offs.

Not sure if it's official definition or not but this is what I think about. And yeah, I see no rip-offs for sure among those guys. Hommage was in Invincible but Mustaches Man wasn't 1:1 Superman and more over, he had his personality.

Superman itself so old he became archetype of his own. Unlimited powers of God and morale of mortal. I think now it is both needs for complete image of him.

Btw, Marvel's Hyperion is clearly Supermans rip-off, classic What if?...

Kryptonians cannot be counted as rip-offs btw, it doesn't have sense.
