No I didn't tbh. I filled it with what those characters were doing at the given time of the event. I learned how to edit bios. I'm just trying to contribute to this community.

You filled it with what happened in the issue. Everything that happened in the issue.

Just looking at what you added on Beast Boy's page... the entire King of Vltava bit is irrelevant for Beast Boy. What Nightwing did is irrelevant for Beast Boy. That story doesn't even focus on Beast Boy and would probably not even be mentioned in a footnote.

I understand, but what about Metallo, Canary, Hal, and Green Arrow? I added what major things they did. I've seen pages that have way more information than what I put. It's my first time editing and I tried to make them look the same format as other finished pages that have endless paragraphs of bio for other characters.

Minus Beast Boy, I mentioned what every other character contributed to his or her story. With Green Arrow, I did not even add too much, I only added barely a small paragraph to what he did in today in Vol 7 #1

The page subject is the pov character of the bio.

There are conciseness, style and tense issues throughout.

I think maybe the Green Arrow one might be salvageable. But the rest would need to be rewritten so much it's essentially a brand new summary. Which is why it's reverted. Just because you add text doesn't mean it's good text.

It’s not about quantity but quality. Lots of profiles haven’t been “updated” in years because most of their bios are already there. It takes real dedication and, more importantly, firsthand access to reading material to flesh out key points of interest from hundreds of stories. It’s hard enough just trying to copy edit or fact check at times. I’ve fallen down research rabbit holes in the middle of what I thought would be a simple removal of OOU material.

Anyone can edit, but not everyone can edit well, and those who can often don’t have the time or drive to do so. I enjoyed it for a long time but it eventually became like work and was starting to suck the joy out of comics for me. The Database was a great way to help me get into comics and is still a great tool for my continued reading, but I also don’t feel obliged to write fifty synopses for my favourite runs when people would ultimately derive more joy from reading them firsthand.

I understand, but there are countless pages still being added to this day that have more texts than I put. These characters are big name characters, their bios should be updated a bit reguarly far more than minor characters. I've seen pages get updated with long paragraphs almost daily. And you did tell me to start doing bios instead of galleries.

To be honest, I was dedicated today, man. I literally spent the whole day reading up on those unfinished stories so I could know what I'm talking about when I'm inserting information there. I wasn't just skimming and updating, I cared about whatever quality I can contribute to the community. And I was not just updating my favorite characters. Black Canary ain't my favorite character but I spent 4 hours today reading the #1-6 issues of Birds of Prey in Rebirth.
