I'm at season 4 of Smallville, first time watcher by the way, and good God why are they pairing 17 year old Lana Lang with 20 something year old Jensen Ackles and just acting like it's fine? The man could've easily played an 18 year old at that point in his life, but instead they make him an adult who works at her goddamn school. It's disgusting. Puts me in mind of our old pal; college professor Terence Long dating and later knocking up actual TEEN Titan Donna Troy. At least when Deathstroke was literally flirting with the registry he had the excuse that's he's a bad man who does bad things, but these two creeps (and Bruce Timm's Batman) are being written and portrayed as good, loveable guys. I am thankful for every advance made with women in DC so I don't have to experience as many of these middle aged, vicarious fantasies as we had forced upon us in the past. Sure I still have to look at art drawn one handed by a man whose ideal woman has six extra joints and no opinions of her own, but at least she's not dating a man old enough to be her father's grandfather. I looked up how many episodes I'm going to have to put up with this creep for and apparently Jensen (who I like in just about everything else) is around for the whole season, to which I audibly said "Noooooooooooo" in a very over dramatic fashion.
