Sturgeon's law: 90% of anything is crap

And writers rarely read stories by other writers.

The situation with Power Girl is admittedly confusing but to say that writers just don't care anymore is, quite frankly, insulting.

There are plenty of good comics out there, like Joshua Williamson's Superman, Chip Zdarsky's Batman, Mark Waid's Shazam and even Tom King is setting up an interesting story with Wonder Woman. There is also a good animated series in the form of My Adventures with Superman, Amazon Prime will feature Batman: Caped Crusader and DC is still releasing standalone animated movies.

Whether you like or dislike those stories is up to you. Preference is subjective, after all. However, you can't just say that writers "just don't care" because they clearly do, otherwise they wouldn't be writing comics.

Okay then, the writers suck.

Writers tell stories. They don't get paid to think of the larger continuity. that's the job of the editorial team

And even then, it's not as simple as "the editors suck." DC's current policy on continuity seems to be intentionally very loose, and as much as that bothers me personally, a lot of people are just fine with it.

Guys ignore this post. I swear I’m just seizing today.
