The whole point of Booster is that he is an unremarkable guy. He was a custodian in the future who stole some tech and travelled to the past to be somebody. He’s a normal, selfish guy with big aspirations of being a hero to the point where he actually develops heroic qualities. Considering the multitude of DC heroes that have had long histories, Booster is one of the heroes that has actually had real arcs to his personal growth, while still being a relatable human being.
