Among these four I'd say Jess, I don't like Simon and the other two don't have any reason to exist. Especially the kid.

None of them, that is, until Jessica's time in the Sinestro Corps, she was great as a fear lantern and the story was good, then they got rid of it and acted like it never happened, she was suddenly a Green Lantern again with zero explanation (that I know of).
