By this, I mean the original 11-issue Kirby run in the '70s. I am reading it, and have 2 more issues to read, but spoilers are OK since I will probably be done reading it by the time I check the post again.
I am enjoying it so far.

I want to read it. But I haven’t come across it. Maybe it’s available at the DC Infinite service. I do prefer hard copies though.
@Arise Etrigan have you read it man?
I think only Jack Kirby should be allowed to touch them, not Geoffrey Johns
Top series, and created my favourite top (Big Barda)
One of my all time favourites, although I am not the most well read.
I find myself staring out the window at work thinking about Kirby designs more than I’d like to admit.
Calm down there Flash, but I too have a crush on Barda.
You have a crush on Barda, I want Barda to crush me between her thighs. We are not the same.
I really enjoy the New Gods. Came across some issues at a flea market many years ago.
Have been a fan ever since. It seems only Zack knew how to deal with them. Everyone else try but you can feel something is missing.
Closest I came to a good book was Mister Miracle back in the early 90's.
Yes, Scav, I have the Kirby Fourth World Omnibus. There is a lot of good stuff. I think all writers dealing with the New Gods should have to make it mandatory reading. Kirby introduced a lot in a short period of time and, off the top of my head, can’t remember specifically what storylines are in the New Gods title, but Darkseid and his Elite were such engaging characters. I believe New Gods focused on Orion who is the most interesting of the New Genesis crowd for me, but hets the least interesting villains, like Kalibak, Mantis and Deep Six, IIRC. The brutes, rather than the brains.
Ment to type jack. Not sure how it turned to Zack. Weird.
The Deep Six menaced Aquaman and his son. They were interesting Characters.
Was introduced to some New Gods on the old Super Friends show.
I don’t quite understand the Deep Six in logical context though. I have never seen and body of water depicted on Apokolips. I guess there must be deep underground aquifers for them to originate from. An origin story might be nice for them.
True. Do we trust the people now to expand on the legend?
Sorry, with how DC constantly reboots what would be erased or saved. That's my biggest frustration with DC.
You get comfortable with the direction and the next it's erased and something new replaces what you liked.
What do you think?
