I understand that, but the point of Injustice is that it is never just the evil clown you kill. You don't just make one exception, because once you open that door, say it's okay once. It's now easy to say that anyone like the Joker is somebody he can kill too. Then what happens if somebody is barely better than the Joker? Won't people like you, like me, make the argument that he should be the exception? That he should make the same exception he makes for the Joker for that guy too? The point of Injustice, even if it isn't made perfectly, is that there's never just one exception, because the second an exception is made it will expand with time, with other monsters.

And as a side note, the Joker is also a bad person to kill, in the Dark Multiverse his killer takes his place. In the mainline universe the Joker is a shared persona between 3 or more people. Qnd in 90% of DC properties he is an idea, killing him only makes a martyr out of him and more Jokers would appear Batman would have to kill.

Isnt the reason Batman lets the joker live cause he wants him to be rehabilitated into a good person or maybe some F'ed up thing is Batman thinks death is too good and wants joker to suffer in prison the rest of his life, idk I haven't read all Batman comics.

Batman understands that he’s part of a society that has rules. He’s not judge and jury.

Iirc B has gone on record saying that he couldn't stop killing, something about once you go there there is no going back.

At the end of No Man’s Land, Joker murders Sarah and Jim Gordon has the opportunity to kill Joker in cold blood before Gotham falls under US law again and Batman tells Jim it’s his call. Gordon shoots Joker in the kneecap for revenge, but he doesn’t kill him, because Jim is a good person and Joker is not. Joker is a bad person because he doesn’t value human life. Batman and Gordon are good people because they do. It’s that simple.

Why does everyone always say BATMAN has to kill the Joker? He's caught and placed him in police custody, and the Joker has gone through the justice system numerous times to always end up in Arkham. If killing the Joker is so important (which I'm not denying it kinda is), why does the responsibility fall on one guy as opposed to the system officially sentencing him to death? Batman does not kill, be it by pathological fear or general refusal, and that's okay. It is the powers that be (in-universe or not) that always let the Joker go, so blame them.

I think people want Batman to do it because the criminal justice system isn’t bloodthirsty enough for them.
