I was just thinking about vulko
Good quiz. Hard quiz.
You think? I tired to ensure most of the questions were about topics covered across many issues in each of their respective titles, often across multiple storylines, rather than choosing offshoot trivia facts that mostly pertained to one issue. For example, the Rogues who got superpowers are involved in the Flash title for most of its run, with their having powers being a notable part of that title. Or I chose topics/events that had consequences on the storylines that followed, like in John Stewart's case. Ah, well.
Which questions did you find the hardest, and which did you find the easiest? I want the quizzes to be fair.
I do think that it’s a good quiz, as too many (hello Buzzfeed) are too easy just to make us feel smart. The questions here are generally about specific titles and even specific moments. I know more about the GL than the Flash, and certainly more about the Justice League than Green Arrow.
Many questions, at least to me, depend on reading the specific issue the event happened in; eg where Superman recommended Starfire move to; or who Roy’s sponsor was. The question about Owlman is easier to answer because i remember him being killed on the Moebius chair by Dr Manhattan after the Darkseid war; which is well after Forever Evil. That, at least, gives me several opportunities to have this knowledge.
The Justice League Dark question is definitely one I would simply look up or calculate, since it seems a question strictly about totals. I would guess either Deadman or Zatanna, (and I guessed wrong) but wouldn’t know.
The time limit kills me, because my memory is generally crap and I like to look up details; but that’s the point, isn’t it?
4/10. Every question was a guess except the Indigo Corps one. It helps if you can recite the oath. I’m still good at getting down to 50/50 at least.
2 out of 10 awful 😔
I’m there with you Jordan
I just appreciate you all participating. Ultimately, with these N52 quizzes, my goal is to have roughly 70-80% of my questions fall under the umbrella of, "If a person read the comic titles I pull questions from, what would they remember from those titles?"
So, for the Starfire question, that wasn't a one-off comment that I'm asking people to recall; it's the location in which her 12*-issue solo title was set. The setting was fairly integral to the overarching story, and it was mentioned just about every issue. So, when I was wanting to pull a question from the Starfire series, I felt like the city the series is set in may be more memorable than the name of her civilian love interest at the time, to give a comparative example.
I included the question on Roy's sponsor because it was mentioned/alluded (or even shown) five times throughout the Red Hood and the Outlaws and Red Hood/Arsenal series. So it was a pretty significant thru-line in Roy's New 52 history.
I do like to throw in a few more esoteric questions with thought of, "Even if they don't know this, they may find it interesting to learn after the fact," such as Atrocitus' profession prior to the events that led him to found the Red Lantern Corps.
Damn 6/10 lookin better than i thought
What do you think?
