@Jstewart2007 That’s a terrible idea for the aforementioned reason of you can’t have Wally just show up as The Flash and make it work You have to do Barry first. You also don’t need to have Wally appear in a Flash Movie to include him in a Teen Titans movie since a Teen Titans movie by default has to cover everyone’s Origins anyway. All you actually need is a flash back of Wally recreating the experiment that gave Barry his powers and a scene of Barry mentoring Wally before forming the Titans which is exactly what Young Justice did. Gun is already going for an older Batman and Superman so they will also cast a new older Barry Allen when they do the next movie involving The Flash
@Leader Vladimir The DCAU got away with it by combining parts of Barry’s character with Wally’s. They gave Wally Barry’s CSI job and even had a version of Barry dying to stop the Anti-Monitor where Wally is almost pulled into the speedforce stopping a Braniac controlled Luthor. Wally is also a lot more cocky and reckless in the DCAU which fits with a version where Barry was never The Flash and thus never trained and guided Wally to be a more mature hero
@Neosaiyan7 That is a great story, the only problem is you have to do Barry and Thawne’s story first in order to be able to do Wally and Hunter’s. Even then you really need to do what Doctor Strange did and have a Wally Grodd movie that starts with Hunter as a friend and ally, then ends with Hunter being paralysed and setting up to become Wally’s Reverse Flash
@Jstewart2007 You can’t do a Wally Hunter movie without first doing at least a Barry Thawne movie and ideally a Wally Grodd movie. Wally and Hunter also happened years after Barry’s death when Wally was an adult and had fully taken over as the new Flash. So you’d have a hard time going from Kid Flash to Hunter. However if they did Crisis as their infinity war/endgame you could jump ahead in time to an older Wally, Then do a Wally Grodd movie that leads into a Wally Hunter movie
I think DC is gonna move away from adaptations of Crisis on Infinite Earths for a while. This is definitely an unpopular opinion, but I think the DCU's Flash should be Barry. Yeah, I know that people want Wally, but by the reasons already stated by @Jjcczz , adapting Wally comes its own set of baggage.
Also, this gives DC the opportunity to adapt Barry in ways the DCEU and the Arrowverse never could.
Crisis would likely be DC’s Infinity War/End Game which would put it at least 10 years out from the new Superman movie. That’s plenty of time between adaptations. How James Gunn handles the Robin lore will be a good indication for how well they’re able to handle skipped content. Since they’re skipping Dick, Jason, and Tim in order to jump straight to Damian
I can understand why Gunn is using Damian. Lots of people are gonna be nervous at the sight of Batman training an orphaned child into becoming a superhero, which obviously comes off a child endangerment.
Damian avoids that issue by the fact that he was trained by the League of Assassins, which gives the impression of Batman saving him from an oppresive environment and trying to keep him on the straight-and-narrow.
Nothing against Keiynan Lonsdale, but the Arrowverse was a huge disservice to Wally West.
The Arrowverse was a disservice to a lot of characters, Barry included.
Arrowverse did a good job with Barry early on, the problems really came in the later seasons. Though Grant did a great job overall
