Not all versions of Superman are able to manipulate time. And the idea of time traveling to stop that is brought up by Injustice Flash later in the story as he can time travel

A Few mistakes on that reasoning:

• First mistake is trying to make sense of the Injustice storyline.

• Second is thinking Superman has time travelling powers.

• Third is thinking he would even attempt that if he had those powers knowing full well how bad it would be given how the Flash messed up everything trying something similar.
