The late 90s and the 2000s had some good ones. I like the New 52 and Rebirth too.

I might be able to choose a favorite, but least favorite? Gun to my head, if I had to choose I’d prolly be shot. There’s some good stories and believable characters (for their time) in every era.

I’m not a fan of the drop in quality around the triangle numbering in the 1990’s, but as a whole 1986 to 2011 has a lot of high points that more than make up for it.

Golden Age comics weren’t made for the modern audience. They have to be approached on their own terms.

My least favorite is a toss-up between the two most recent. I voted for New 52, for the unnecessary retcons that gave us the perpetual reset we have to this day.

The golden age is a different format really. Especially the WW2 stuff. Pretty much just propaganda. Like the first JSA comic. Jay literally told people to look out for Nazis.

2005-2011 gave us some of the best Lantern stories in DC's history. Geoff Johns managed to turn the Green Lantern lore into something so expansive and good that it could have its own universe. Some of the best written stories were done during those years.

I have not read much (if any) from the "golden", "silver" or "bronze" ages but I do know they have been writing a lot of terrible stories recently and with terrible art on top of it. The times of Geoff Johns writing combined with EVS's art are long gone. I did, however, enjoy Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps story, it was surprisingly good.
