Really? You have a lot of people celebrating the failure of Joker: Folie a Deux and villainizing Todd Phillips for the crime of making a bad movie.

Don't ge me wrong. I genuinely want the new DCU to succeed but I won't delude myself into liking it because of... reasons. At the same time, if I have to criticize the DCU, I will try to be fair and constructive instead of jumping the Gunn.

Honestly most of the people I’ve seen talk it about are excited, and the only ones that think it’s gonna fail are Zack Snyder fans that are mad that the Snyderverse ended.

I look forward to Lanterns and all the new content Gunn has in store for the DCU

I don't think that it'll be downright bad, I think it'll just be at the same level as early MCU.

My judgement will be highly dependent on how he portrays the Lanterns. So far, I think the casting has been decent all around, Superman, Supergirl, Hawkgirl, etc. have all been casted well. I'm a bit concern about the age of the Lanterns but as long as they are portrayed as Veterans and not rookies then it will be fine.
