Yeah, would have to agree. Especially since one of them is mostly having it be a core character trait that Rick Flag Sr.'s main difference from his son is being a DILF.

The show kind of gave me Hellboy vibes.

More minus than plus, for me. Not enough story, too much musical fight scenes, unnecessarily explicit sex ( I’d like for kids to be able to watch comic book cartoons), characters not drawing me in. Best moment so far: Phosphorus trying to steal Flagg’s remote. Worst: any time Weasel is on screen.

Design and animation are quite good, much better than Caped Crusader.

Gunn had already stated that every project in the DCU will have its own flavor and style, so you can't expect Creature Commandos to tell you what you can expect from Superman or Peacemaker. Personally, I think this is a good idea because you can't use Superman to tell stories you would tell for the Creature Commandos and vice versa. Besides, fans had been complaining that, in later years, the DCEU was spreading out in multiple directions without a consistent voice to unify them all and some fans even believed that movies like Shazam and The Suicide Squad had been greenlit just to spite Zack Snyder.

The reason I liked that moment best is I’m not really looking forward to seeing the Commandos fight Circe and the ridiculous Sons of Themiscyra for the whole season. I want to see them fight Flagg and Waller.

Difference when the DCEU told different stories in different tones was that none of them were bought to have existed in the same world as the others. Whereas here, we don't know. More has in common connections to the old DCEU than DCU right now, but we'll see where it goes I guess.

So far, so good. I actually liked it so in my opinion, it's a good start for the DCU.

Pretty decent so far

Quite dug it thus far. Really curious to see which characters will translate to live action in the proper DCU. Would really like to see Doctor Phosphorus make the leap in a Batman movie tbh, and I have a hunch some of them will also make it in Swamp Thing if that happens

But yeah, all in all it's been a really decent opener to the universe
