We've seen better excuses of a story to dress up the Batman v Superman fight. If it took inspiration from DKR, they can't read and just looked at the pictures.

"Save... Martha" was just straight bad from writing to delivery.

The Ultimate Edition at least cleaned up some plot holes but it didn't fix the story or characterization.

I think it gets a lot of hate much like Man of Steel. Aside from goofy Lex Luthor, BvS is really epic. The Ultimate Version, that is. There's still some plot holes throughout (How does Lex know Batman and Superman's identities? How does Batman know that kryptonite weakens Superman? Why does everyone believe Superman uses guns?) and the movie rushed to build a cinematic universe, but if you're willing to role with it, this movie can be an epic spectacle. The action sequences are fantastic, love the soundtrack, and Ben Affleck made for a badass Batman, he really carried the movie.

It seems tj me that Zack Snyder tried ti go super serious and James Gunn is trying to go super goofy, so maybe the next iteration will have a blend of the two

I could see what they were going for but I just don't think it was well delivered. There were also thing that were bad ideas from the start such as killing Superman in his SECONED EVER APPERANCE.

The plot wasn’t great and the only thing I like about it is that Ben Affleck’s Batman is essentially a live-action version of the Batman of the Arkham games, albeit a lot more brutal.

I actually enjoyed it. Didn't mind the different take on.Lex. loved the jar part. He did it to unnerve the senator. I get the whole Martha thing. You have Batman about to kill Superman with kryptonite. Supermans thoughts are about saving his mother.

Saying her name snapped Bruce out of his rage by remembering his parents and how they died. Don't get why people hate it so much. When I saw it in the theater I got it right away.

They should have done a Batman movie first. Sadly the higher ups wanted to push out JLA movie without give the fans a chance to learn.about the characters. That's on them. The failure is on them for rushing things.
