Fr even before the controversy I don't think alot of people cared for him
The first Joker movie wasn't that good, in my opinion. The cinematography, the score (really just the general aesthetic) and of course, Joaquin Phoenix's performance are what save it from being truly mediocre.
I think that Black Mask is definitely the weakest Batman rouge, compared to much cooler ones like Freeze and Man Bat
Alan Scott’s origin is pointless. Just retcon him as a member of the GL Corps.
Oh god for real. That’s long overdue. Alan Scott is awesome but his backstory is a mess. Hell I love Jade and Obsidian but they need to be reworked too, they basically don’t even matter yet either.
I actually cared about The Flash 2023. I thought it's better than the entire run (see what I did there?) of The CW's Flash. Say what you will about DCEU Flash, but at least he gets stuff done and doesn't need an entire team to coach him.
Also, DC should just make Barry the main Flash again. I don't hate Wally, but his run (see what I did there?) just isn't moving the needle. Take away his powers, retire him, put with him with the Titans, I don't care. Just remove Wally and bring back Barry.
I like the second half of your comment, Barry belongs on the Justice League. DC really needs to realize that Wally, Cyborg and the rest of the members of the first two Teen Titans team belong on the Titans. They should be the definitive leaders of it, like the Justice League chair members in Young Justice.
There’s nothing wrong with a hero relying on a team for assistance though. Just look at Barbara Gordon. Hell Cisco and Caitlin were the best part of the CW series.
I can understand Barry needing a team at the early stages of the show. He was a rookie and needed a team to coach him. The problem is that, even when when he becomes a veteran, the team is still telling him instructions from S.T.A.R. Labs. Even Iris, a reporter who has no business working at S.T.A.R. Labs, is on mission control.
Isn't Barry supposed to be a scientist? Shouldn't he come up with creative uses for his powers? It's like the presence of a team suddenly decreases Barry's intelligence by double-digits or something.
This is a huge difference from Superman and Lois. In that show, Superman works with the Department of Defense, but he isn't a part of it. Yes, the DOD monitors his activities and even advises him but otherwise gives Superman full autonomy on how to operate.
Don't even try to argue that Superman is a veteran while Flash is a rookie because by the end of his show, Flash has 9 years of experience under his proverbial belt and still needs people telling him what to do.
Superman & Lois was still awful.
However yeah I didn’t even like the majority of the Arrowverse shows past seasons 2-4 and Flash is no different. Cisco and Caitlin really should've been treated more like fellow heroes by then and less like scientists only useful behind the scenes except on rare occasions. Caitlin and Frosts story also got way out of hand in the final two seasons. Joe and Iris also became way too relevant by season 3, and I didn’t like them in the first place. Don’t even get me started on Wally and all the alternate Harrisons aside from E2 Wells. I guess what I’m saying is the show had great potential and could’ve been way better with different writing beyond halfway through season 2 and different West castings.
Superman & Lois would be my "I did not care for the Godfather" for DCTV. Like, it's not a bad show by any means, but I don't think it was ever really my thing. Sometimes, it really dragged for me.
What do you think?
