I like Tim Drake most but think Batwings coolest.

I think Kate is coolest, but I haven’t read much of Tim.

Kate > Tim > Bette > Stephanie > Luke > Damian

Love Kate and Tim, Bette is highly underrated but I’m not really a fan of her aliases outside of Batgirl, same goes for Stephanie as I’m not a fan of the Spoiler alias either, I like Luke but I prefer Tiffany and I just endure Damian at this point. Bette and Stephanie could really use more Bat-family related aliases though.

I think Flamebird is a great name for Bette, but it only really works after Dick's become Nightwing, which isn't how they handled it when she was reintroduced post-Crisis.

I don’t think it’s a good name for her unless she’s frequently directly affiliated with Dick. It’d be different if they were best friends and/or she actually had some relevance in the Batfamily. Even then the only reason I think Nightwing works for Dick is because it can be interpreted as correlated with Bats, that doesn’t really work for Flamebird. It’s not like either of them have any connection to the originals either.

Edit: Then again I guess Robin doesn’t correlate with Bats either, and I love most of them. I retract that point. Still not a fan of the name for her without any relevance to Nightwing and the Batfamily.

Bette's been portrayed as being very fixated on him, even if their actual affiliation is limited. She doesn't have the connection to Superman that made Nightwing work for Dick, but I think it makes perfect sense, after Dick becomes Nightwing, for her to take the codename of his partner.

Bette's crush was never dangerous like that, but she's had that characterisation long before Obsession. She *wants* significant relevance to Nightwing, even if she doesn't have it.

I guess I can see a case for dropping it as she matures, but Flamebird is a solid name with a long history that doesn't get much use. The alternate she's used, Hawkfire, just sounds like bad word association from Flamebird.

Tim was always the best Robin.
