Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I'm LeaderVladimir and I want to ask whether Superman 2025 is the best way to start the new DC cinematic universe.
I want people to analyze this question from a cultural, social and even financial perspective. Superman needs to appeal to as many people as possible to be successful which is why I'm asking whether there the general public still has an appetite for Superman and his community.
I don't think I can use things like Superman and Lois or My Adventures with Superman to measure public interest in Superman because they are aimed at different demographics, but at the same time, I don't believe I can use the "nobody was asking for another Superman movie" argument because, around the Internet, there were some vocal circles unhappy with DC's reluctance or even downright refusal to make another Superman movie after Man of Steel.
I'm not saying that Superman isn't popular among audiences because he most definitely is, otherwise he wouldn't have two successful TV shows or a cult following on his recent movies. Superman means a lot to those who love him, maybe now more than ever.
Obviously, fans of Superman will agree with this decision (it's Superman, after all), and I guess we won't have a definitive answer till July, but still, I want to know what you think. Is Superman 2025 the best way to start the new DCU? This is meant to be a friendly discussion, so please be polite and argue your points in a civilized manner. We are all fans of DC and, hopefully, Superman. We just see things differently.
So leave a comment below, thanks for your time and stay safe out there!
