They don’t, of course. Nobody who can fly and lift skyscrapers is going to dress off the discount rack.

I probably would if I were a superhero. At least for my prototype suit.

And it would make a great Halloween costume. Seriously, short pants are just too casual. You have to go with gym shorts at least. Something that says you’re ready for action, and not just beer and barbecue.

Personally, I can live without the trunks but I vastly prefer them. They provide a good color contrast for the blue suit and help distinguish Superman's chest from his legs.

Normally, any attempt to remove the trunks is just an attempt to take attention away from Superman's groin but it just draws more attention to it.

Seeing Superman with trunks just looks better, I adore it even
