I mean I like Dick, Damian, and Jason.
But I don't know any of thee newer ones, and honestly I always preferred Batman as a solo act, only Alfred and Gordon as allies.

I think when the Batfamily was growing in the late 80s and 90s it worked exceptionally when executed by Denny O Neil and Chuck Dixon. But after those two left Batman the new story direction failed to justify the high amount of members or give us enough proper stories with them.
Jason should be dead. I loved Jean-Paul but he is better off being dead and being a one decade wonder. Stephanie while I wish not dead should be gone and so with Tim as they have only dragged him through mud. Also Huntress should have been removed as they don’t use her meaningfully enough to justify her.
Finally, Signal, Batwing and Bluebird shouldn’t exist.
Swap Tim for Damian and I’m with you all the way.
The irony about Tim and Damian is that when Damian was introduced, Tim was worried that Damian would replace him, and now, that's exactly what's happening.
Some people have been complaining for years that DC still features characters like Cass, Steph, Azrael and Signal in comics even if they don't have particularly large fanbase. Then, you have another section of fans that believe those characters to be genuinely interesting and that DC and, by extension, the audience just didn't give them a chance.
The truth is that those characters still show up because DC needs to prove that it still owns the trademarks around those characters. It's all about business and it's all about making money.
I mean I get where you coming from, but regarding that last point, sure solo Batman is cool, but it’s better if there’s a Robin with him. Tim Drake is my personal favourite
Nice 🙂
Robin was created so Bats wouldn’t be talking to himself all the time. That’s a legit purpose, though I always found it hard to overlook the child-endangerment question. Dick kinda makes sense; he has skills, motivation, and no one to say no. After he becomes Nightwing and Jason is killed, Robin is just there to preserve a trademark. Bruce should know better.
I do like Tim for showing Bruce he’s a real detective, though.
It doesn't strike anyone as odd that all of them are more or less Batman? They are morally similar but didn't have the resources to become Batman.
Until they move in with him, anyway.
Yeah, that's the whole point. Batman is the one who brought them all together. That's why they are the Batman Family.
What do you think?
