I know Bendis' time at DC is generally not fondly-remembered, but it seems like his work with Jon Kent and the Legion are what catch the most flack.
His whole Leviathan plotline (Leviathan Rises, Event Leviathan, Checkmate, etc.) seems interesting to me - I'm honestly not much of a Superman reader, but Manhunter, Checkmate, and the Question are some of my favourites, and it's pretty rare for them to get new stories. I already know the big mysteries of these stories, but are any of them worth reading?
